Glenn Wells
Legal Counsel / Military

Glenn Wells is a retired United States Marine, attorney, and veterans advocate whose life and career reflect service, resilience, and a deep commitment to those who have served.
Glenn served 21 years in the United States Marine Corps, including assignments in Force Reconnaissance and Marine Special Operations Command. Over the course of his military career, he deployed throughout the world and served across a wide range of commands, operational environments, and military specialties. That experience gave him a broad understanding of military service, operational discipline, leadership, sacrifice, and the diverse challenges faced by service members and veterans.
Near the end of his military career, he made the decision to pursue higher education. Since retiring from the Marine Corps, he has earned four degrees, including two graduate-level degrees, and went on to complete law school.
Following law school, Glenn served as a local prosecutor in northern Georgia before becoming a decision-writing attorney for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Board of Veterans’ Appeals. In that role, he applied veterans law, regulations, policy, and evidentiary standards to claims for benefits, giving him a detailed understanding of the veterans claims process and the challenges many veterans face when seeking the benefits they have earned.
Glenn now uses that experience to advocate for veterans whose claims have been wrongly denied. He is also active in service-oriented organizations, including the Shepherdsmen, the Cherokee County Veterans Treatment Court Steering Committee, and the Georgia State Law Alumni Council.
As a member of the National Honor Guard Society Board of Directors, Glenn brings the perspective of a career Marine, attorney, veterans advocate, and nonprofit volunteer. His experience strengthens the Society’s commitment to disciplined governance, respect for service, and the dignified recognition of those who have served their communities and country.
